Linda is the owner and CEO of The Planning Center, a Tucson based planning and landscape architecture consulting firm. She holds a Master’s degree in Planning from the University of Arizona and has been a planning consultant for 20 years. Over this time, she gained a wide range of consultant experience, working for local, state and federal governments, non-profits, developers, builders and property owners on a variety of projects. This diverse experience gives her a unique perspective that allows her to understand both jurisdictional and developer’s points of view, which brings a balanced perspective to projects. While she is a skilled, versatile planner, her true strength lies in her ability to negotiate diverse viewpoints and build consensus around a project. She is a problem solver, using that strength to help guide projects through challenges, whether from physical challenges of a site, jurisdictional obstacles or divergent points of view from neighbors. This ability, combined with her political sensitivity and savvy has resulted in the successful outcome of the vast majority of her projects, and has garnered respect from elected officials, neighborhood and environmental activists and jurisdictional staff/officials.
Linda also serves on several volunteer boards and commissions, including the YMCA of Southern Arizona, Metropolitan Pima Alliance, DM50 (an advocacy and support group for Davis Monthan AFB), and the Pima County Small Business Commission. She and her husband of 20 years, Albert, have two daughters, Alicia (15) and Lily (11).
