Overview

Take-Away: Preservation is an important tool in improving the quality of life for residents of affordable housing communities.

Description: Historic Preservation is often perceived as antithetical to progress, especially so in the context of pursuing a solution to the affordable housing crisis in the Valley. In reality, the two share the same goal. This panel brings preservationists and developers together to discuss adaptive reuse of historic resources, how to sensitively execute affordable housing projects in historic contexts, and creative ways to incorporate historic buildings into new housing developments.
