Description: The American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 Direct Assistance for Local Governments provided a onetime opportunity for governments to invest in the long-term capacity and development of their communities. Santa Cruz County, Arizona directed resources to small businesses and nonprofit organizations that partnered to address financial impacts of the pandemic, while integrating community development priorities with arts and tourism resources.
