Description: The Urban Forest is a critical infrastructure for creating healthy, resilient, and prosperous cities and towns. This green infrastructure provides essential ecosystem services that support our well-being and the health of the planet. In this presentation you will learn about policies, tools and code updates that can be used to support healthy urban forests and compact walkable places. Lyssa will weave together best practices on reducing water consumption of landscapes along with sharing historical examples of how to design with nature. In addition, Lyssa will share lessons learned from her work to integrate green infrastructure into the built environment.
