Overview

Take-Away: Planners should come away from this session with the ability to go back to their communities and let their councils know why the legislature is considering changing – and limiting – their authority, and what specific steps are under consideration.

Description: The Arizona Legislature has noticed the lack of affordable housing in our state. They have talked about whether zoning is a source of this problem that ought to be reformed. Panelists will present a variety of perspectives about whether zoning does impact affordability, how legislative efforts to craft potential reforms unfolded this past session, and what might happen next year
